Bible Master Artist - Woodcuts

Coloring Book for Adults
by Lisa Grace

Yes, I'm releasing my first Bible scenes coloring book for adults. It contains 40 woodcuts in gray scale from the masters of the art world circa 1750 - 1850.
I'm sharing my collection of prints in a series of coloring books. The gray scale adds instant detail and makes your colors look like they were done by one of the ancient masters.
This is the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys coloring or art. Color pencils or chalks suggested for the best results.

Lisa Grace Bio

I am married to my husband Todd and we have a wonderful twelve-year-old daughter. I had a full-sized Virginian Opossum as a pet for four years until he passed away. They can be paper-trained. We currently have an albino Dwarf Netherlands Bunny named Snow, and a Shih-Tzu named Sugar.

I love reading, hiking, fishing, boating, and watching nature.  I use the BIC (butt in chair) method to write two thousand words a day.  I love to talk to people who read my books and return all emails personally. My mission is to reach unsaved teens with my young adult novels. I loved reading books with supernatural elements when I was a teen so it's only natural for me to write what I love to read. For my adult readers, The 15th Star  and True Treasure are exciting reads along the lines of National Treasure meets the War of 1812.

The paperback of Angel in the Shadows has been selling well through my direct sales, which unfortunately, the "book world" i.e. book scan doesn't count. This next year, I'm seriously thinking of attending home school conferences as I'm getting bulk orders from schools. If they order direct through me, I can give them the same discount a publisher would.
With the school year winding down, I've been busy with our
daughter and household matters. I plan on writing more in the month of June.

 4/9/2015
FEUDAL LAND, Book 1 serial Part 5 is now up for sale at a 1.25. The serial (first book) concludes with the next part,  part 6.

Mark your calendars: I'll be a guest speaker teacher at the first www.ChristianIndieAuthors.com conference in Davenport, IA July 30th -August 2nd, 2015. I'll be signing books too. I hope to see you there. The conference also includes a book fair. Check out the site for more details.

Blog Post: As sometimes happens, anothe author has decided to name her book coming out July 15th, "Angel in the Shadows." I dropped her a line this morning congratulating her on her book, but informing her about mine in case she has the ability to change the name of her book.

I know lots of books shared the same title and I really don't care (actually it helps me, not them) if an author does name the book the same as mine.
My book, partly because of the movie option, but also because it is still (five years later), on the Amazon bestseller list for Christian fantasy fiction remsins at the top of all search results whne you type in it's name.
It's going to be very hard for any author who names their books the same as mine to overcome my sales and review history to displace me at the top of search results.  This means their book will only be visible to those they tell about it or link to ir directly.  Not appearing high in a search result is a death knell to any book.

I know of an author who thought it would be a great idea to name her book after one of the best-selling albums by a famous rock group. Unfortunately, the only thing that ever appeared on the first, second, and third page of  search results, were the album and band news. Putting in the title at booksellers also produced album/band results followed by the five other authors who had done the same thing before that writer did.

Titles are an important *keyword* to visibility. Do your homework and do not pick something that is dominated in the first two pages of search results.

I picked FEUDAL LAND for my latest teen end times series book, not only because it is the acronym - Forced Economic United Domestic AL liances for the new government in my book (when ours falls apart), but because when I typed *Feudal* in search results all I got were obscure Japanese feudal time period books. I knew I could easily dominate this keyword.
The battle for every author is to make your work visible so it doesn't sink into the abyss of the 3,000 books that are being released daily.
More than luck, I wish this new author the knowledge to know what is best for her book to gain it maximum visibility, and in this case, it might be a slightly different title.

2/08/15

I did publish 12 Angels by Christmas on Amazon, and The Trouble With Tribble in the Stories on The Go anthology (warning: not all stories are family friendly in the anthology but it is #FREE). Now I'm working on FEUDAL LAND parts 5 & 6, and Angel in the Light, Book 5. Both finish up their respective story arcs.
I did start a Works in Progress page since readers might be wondering what I'm up to. Plus, I am interested in being traditionally published and this way interested agents or publishers can take a peek and see if I'm working on something they might like to see.

11/24/14

Happy Thanksgiving a few days early.

So what have I been doing, you ask?

Well, Angel in the Fire, Book 4 just released as an ebook and is available in the Amazon store. I am uploading it to Nook, iTunes, Kobo, Google Play (I'm uploading all the angel books to GP; it's a new store for me) over the holidays. With family and friend commitments, plus being a wife and a mom, it gets rather busy around the holidays and I'm sure you can relate.
I'm finishing 12 Angels by Christmas and working on releasing it just before the Christmas holiday. I'm also committed to writing an article releasing in January for a print magazine, and I have a new flash fiction story coming out in December (The Trouble With Tribble) through an anthology called Stories On The Go. If you enjoyed my 30 Minutes of Flash Fiction book or know what a Tribble is, you'll want to pick up your
FREE copy of
Stories and spend five minutes reading it.

Before the end of the year, I plan on publishing the last two installments of FEUDAL LAND, Book 1. I will then finish Angel in the Light, Book 5 which will complete the current story arc in the Angel series.

It's been a productive year for me, and I look forward to writing all the books I have in the planning stages now for the rest of 2015. That would be Society of the D.E.A.D.,  a new history mystery continuing the story of Keiko and Julian, Seer, and Judas.
I feel blessed to have readers, so thank you, you mean more to me than I can say.

08/12/14

I just finished reading an article written for teachers mentioning the one thing their former students will remember about them is: Did they care? http://pursuitofajoyfullife.com/2014/01/26/what-students-remember-most-about-teachers/  I think I need to take this advice as a novelist also.

Do my readers know I care?

That is something I strive for when I write.
I take the time to research, and rewrite until I have a story I want to read. I put a contact form on every page of my website, and put my email on the back or at the end of every book so readers can contact me with any questions they may have. I answer every email I receive, unless it went astray. Sometimes they go into my spam folder, or they wind up in the other file at FB so I have to remember to check them.

Writing is something I have always done; it's just how God wired me. Publishing, however, is a fairly recent development which is time consuming. It involves editing, formatting for all the different forms of books available, uploading blurbs, prices, keywords, author bios, covers (which I have to have someone design) change back and front matter (different book distributors want credit when you upload through their site, plus
adding links and chapters to the old books to include the new ones), hire narrators for the ACX/Audible audio books, and then all the social media sites have to be updated with the latest additions too. :)
This is all very time consuming and I do my best to make it look effortless.
When I get a one star review, I feel sorry that I disappointed you, while being aware I can't please everyone.
If it's not a great review, thank you, as you just might have saved someone with your tastes from having a disappointing experience, which it was never my intention to deliver. When I get any review, I'm grateful you took the time to let others know how you felt about my work.
If it's a great review, thank you.  I'm glad you enjoy the same things I do.

I love that several online bookstores allow people to read the first 10% of any book free. This way, a reader can open any book and decide for themselves whether my writing is something they will enjoy. It helps to minimize that "eeehhh" experience.

I don't blog much because I consider myself a novelist, not an essayist, and I would rather spend the time I do have working on novels  and the rest of my time talking to my readers.

Thanks for reading; I do appreciate you more than you can know.

08/05/14

I'll be on The Write Stuff with discussing angels and my books 7:00pm Est

07/31/14

How Real Science Proves The Bible is now available as an ebook for $3.49 and

the paperback is for sale at $8.99. It contains years of research and the last two years of my articles that posted on Eye On The Paranormal.

You may notice changes to the website in the next few days as it is being tweaked to make it more user friendly so you can find everything you'd like to know about my books, (and maybe me) easily.

Old Fashioned - the movie produced by the same producers involved in bringing the Angel Series to the big screen has recently had articles in Time Magazine, The Independent (UK), and Variety. Please call your local theaters *now* (they book movies way in advance) and ask them to bring Old Fashioned to their theaters for Valentine's Day 2015.

07/15/14

I'm working on part 4 of FEUDAL, plus I'm busy editing and polishing Angel in the Fire, Book 4 for an August release. On top of that, I've decided to release all my articles from over two years of guest posting  at Eye On The Paranormal as a book called: Real Science Proves the Bible: Explanations of the Supernatural by Lisa Grace
I'm waiting for my cover artist to do mock ups and should be able to release this book by the end of the month.

It will be my first full-length non-fiction book released.

07/11/14

FEUDAL LAND part 3 of 6 will release sometime today. Part 4 will release around July 25th.  THE MOST EXCITING NEWS IS: "OLD FASHIONED"  a romance, WILL BE IN THEATERS VALENTINE'S DAY 2015.
Please  call or email your local or chain theater to make sure they arrange to have it in their theater. This is the same day the erotica film 50 Shades of Grey will be in theaters. If you or your daughter were going on a movie date, which film do you want your date to take you to see?
I've seen this film twice in sneak previews. It made me cry, and I can't wait to see it again. It  has all the elements that made  "You've Got Mail" and "Sleepless in Seattle" such hits. I believe this one will join them as a contemporary movie classic.
"I keep quote films from the film and so does my hubby, Nothing good ever happens after eleven," and several others. I urge you to share this with everyone who loves romantic films. The book Old Fashioned based on the movie, will be available through Tyndale House and you can preorder it NOW through your favorite bookseller.

This is the movie that was in the queue ahead of mine for my production company, the angel movie is next, and Icouldn't more proud to be affiliated with a group of people who put out such beautiful, fun, and inspiring films.

Angel in the Fire, Book 4 is on schedule to release as an ebook at the end of August. Waiting on edits, to see what I need to re-write. I will be sending out emails shortly with the release date. If you can all purchase on the same day, we can boost it to the bestseller lists at Amazon. :)

6/9/14
You may have noted a new look (it's evolving daily) as I get ready to upload my Lisa Grace - Where Good Meets Evil videos. The videos will explain the rules on how the supernatural works from the ultimate authority we know of: the Holy Scriptures.

FEUDAL LAND part 1 will be available June 10 as a serial, as I write it. I plan on releasing a new section every two weeks until Book 1 is complete.

12/14/12 - I composed a parody for Dave Ramsey.

I admire what he does to get people out of debt, especially around this time of year.  Here it is:

T'was the Night Before Christmas - Dave Style

Twas the night before Christmas
Dave's podcast was playing in the house
Not a creature was spending
Not even a mouse
The stockings were sold on ebay with care
In the hopes that the money saved would
not leave the savings account bare
The children were nestled all snuggly in bed
Afraid if they weren't, they'd be sold next.
Mamma in last year's kerchief, and me in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long cost free nap.
When out on the lawn arose such a clatter
Bill collectors, Am Ex and Master Card splatter
I ran to the window threw open the shutters
I shouted "What would Dave do?" and sat down
to mutter.
I went to the window and saw—what the—h—
An old rusty jalopy pulled by gazelle
"Dave!" I exclaimed my cheeks all aglow
"What should I do?
I've a budget and envelopes, and a payment that's due!"
His eyes were all merry and he spoke with a drawl
"My son keep on - just keepin' on,
Pay the largest off first, tell the rest they can wait,
Eat beans and rice, and an apple or date.
These times they will pass
and you'll feel much better
when your bank book and savings are all so much fatter."
With that all said, he went straight to work
He took out a scissors and with barely a jerk
he cut up the credit cards until they flew in the air
little pieces flying down - like snowflakes
gently landing in his hair.
He exclaimed when he was through
"Dash away credit cards! Cash in the bank!
Sleep well this Christmas with gas in the tank!"
He climbed in his ol' jalopy (I know he can afford a 'vetter)
but for the purpose of this story the metaphor's better.
He leaned out the window and shouted with glee,
"Merry Christmas to all and I'll leave you a present:
Lisa Grace's ebook "Angel in the Shadows" is free,
it won't cost you a ceee-nt!"

11/10/11 - My interview From A Book To A Movie appeared on

The Borrowed Book today. Check it out.

The movie negotiations are slow, but going great. Entertainment lawyer Elaine P. English is representing me.

I have had verbal and email confirmation that I will be receiving contracts for the paperbacks from some publishers.

I'm still working on Angel in the Ice, Book 3. I hope to have it out before the end of November. As soon as it is finished I will finish the edits for The 15th Star. It's a toss up on which book I will finish next afetr that. I've started writing  Society of the D. E. A. D. (A supernatural YA with a college age heroine), Feudal Land (A YA dystopian supernatural), and Pirate Bloody Graham's Treasure  (An Adult Lisa Grace History-Mystery).

I guess which one I finish writing next depends on my book contract for the angel series and which one a publishing company would be most interested in.

Since adult history mysteries seem to sell better, if I don't have an agent or a publishing house contract, I will most likely finish the Pirate Treasure history-mystery. It can stand on its own. The other two I plan on writing as series. The problem with series is, I seem to sell half as many of the second book. Therefore, until I can get more readers, it seems I should plan on writing what will bring in more readers.

10/07/11 - Today is Yom (means day) Kippur (Atonment) - The Holiest day on the Hebrew calendar, which started tonight at sunset. (The evening and the morning were the first day. This year because it falls on Shabbat (means 7th day, which falls on the Roman Saturday), it is a High Holy day. We are to afflict our souls, weep for our sins, ask forgiveness for each one, and ask for our names to be written in the Book of Life for another year here on earth, and for eternity in heaven, by God's grace.
